Benefits of going away to camp:

Confidence & Independence

Children step outside their comfort zones by trying new activities like ziplining, swimming, outdoor cooking, and team challenges. Achieving small goals builds big confidence and helps them believe in themselves.

Physical Health & Wellbeing

With swimming, outdoor games, and active challenges, children stay moving and engaged. Being outdoors reduces screen time and promotes healthier lifestyles.

Teamwork & Social Skills

Through group games and shared experiences, campers learn how to cooperate, communicate, and support one another. They build friendships across different schools and backgrounds.

Resilience & Problem Solving

From lighting a safe campfire to completing team obstacle courses, children learn patience, perseverance, and how to overcome challenges in a positive way.

Cultural Awareness & Heritage

Camp encourages children to understand and appreciate Botswana’s traditions, environment, and community values. Activities often include cultural learning experiences that strengthen identity and pride.

Life Skills for the Future

Camp teaches responsibility, respect, leadership, and independence — skills that support children not only at school but throughout life.
