About Jamaica
Camp Jamaica invites you beyond the beaches and into the heart of the Caribbean. Set against turquoise seas, vibrant communities, and rich cultural heritage, this immersive experience blends adventure with purpose. Participants take part in coral conservation projects, learning how fragile marine ecosystems are protected and restored, while also connecting deeply with local life. Cultural exploration is woven throughout the journey, including a visit to the Bob Marley Museum, offering insight into Jamaica’s powerful history, music, and global influence. From conservation work along the coast to unforgettable cultural moments, Camp Jamaica is a chance to make a meaningful impact while experiencing the rhythm and soul of Jamaica.
What you will do:
Mornings focus on developing skills by: Working on a coffee farm Supporting local schools, shadowing local marine experts efforts to help protect Jamaica’s coral reefs and learning how tourism has shaped Jamaica.
Afternoons are all about adventure and discovery, such as: Visiting the Bob Marley Museum, cooking authentic Jamaican dishes, trying energetic dance and drumming sessions, heading to the beach for sports games
Evenings are full of excitement too: Talent shows, themed events around the campfires, sharing stories and watching the sunset on the beach
Global awareness
Gain a deeper understanding of global issues through hands-on conservation work and meaningful community engagement.
Environmental impact
Develop practical knowledge of marine ecosystems while contributing to coral conservation and sustainability efforts.

Upgrade Your Camp Experience
Turn your time in Jamaica into an accredited achievement by adding the Level 3 Diploma in Global Citizenship Qualification with Marine Conservation. Your placement hours at camp count toward the course, meaning you only complete 40 extra hours of flexible independent learning once you return home. We guide you throughout, helping you connect reef protection, sustainability and community impact to real-world global challenges. The qualification strengthens personal statements, CVs and interviews by showing reflection, responsibility and environmental awareness.
Meaning you leave with a qualification which is an additional 16 UCAS points.
